Lilliput Collection

Lilliput Lane

A Brief History

Lilliput Lane are highly collectable decorative ornaments. The company originated in 1982 by David Tate. The ornaments have a realistic look and demonstrate buildings found all around England and Wales. These fantastic models are popular in over 50 countries. Unfortunately Lilliput Lane is no longer making models. In 2017 David Tate died following a battle with cancer.

What is Lilliput Lane?

The models start off being carved in wax, with each stone and shingle being added individually. Then a silicone mould is made and the model is cast in Amorphite to produce the final product.

Exploring the cottages

Here at wildcard we have a small collection of cottages for sale. The detail in each cottage is very interesting. The colourful, well kept blooming gardens and equally well kept cottages really bring the country feel to life. Village businesses are also brought to life in these models. The New Forest Tea Rooms, Jones the Butchers, Kendal Tea House and Curios Antiques are some of the models we also have for sale. I must admit I do like the Curios Antiques Model and could imagine our small team having a little look around inside this fantastic little shop. There are so many of the Lilliput Models, with so many relatable locations to people for various reasons. It is lovely to see there are still collectors out there that take such an interest in the Lilliput Lane models.
